Sometimes 30 minutes is all you have. For this blog post I’ve only given myself 10. Sometimes you’ve got a short window of time to get something done. It’s a busy day at work but you told yourself you’d get in a workout at lunch. Or maybe you set some time aside to exercise first thing in the morning but you got up 30 minutes late. You have two choices
1) Blow it off. You’re too busy… Bu****it.
2) Do it anyway. Give it everything you can for 30 minutes.
Look, your brain loves to feed you excuses:
“There’s not enough time”
“I’m too busy”
“I just don’t feel like it, today”
Do what you can with what you’ve got. I’ve done 20 minute runs that were just a series of sprints. I’ve done strength training sessions with just a chin bar and a wall and gotten to complete exhaustion in 7 minutes. I’ve had 20 minute footbag sessions of just 50 contact runs of the most basic tricks.
Short amounts of time add up huge over the long haul. Sometimes 30 minutes is all you’ve got, but it’s more than enough to make a positive impact.
